- How do I receive proof of course completion?
- After you complete the course quiz and evaluation, you will complete a simple form on your Personal Home Page to let us know that you have completed the course. A certificate will be mailed to you the following business day, and it will show the date you finished the course.
- How do I know if LifeAlign courses are eligible for continuing education credit in my state?
- LifeAlign courses are eligible for continuing education
credit for MFTs and LCSWs in California through the BBS, Board
of Behavioral Sciences.
LifeAlign is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. LifeAlign maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
LifeAlign is recognized by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) to offer continuing education for National Certified Counselors. Courses from NBCC accredited providers are accepted in over 45 states.
LifeAlign is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing to offer courses for nurses.
LifeAlign is approved to offer courses by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors and the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners.

- I need the CE credits by tomorrow. Is it possible to get them that quickly?
- Yes. You will have access to the course immediately after your payment is processed by Paypal. After taking the course and completing the course evaluation and online quiz, you will send us a form from your personal home page, which includes the date of course completion. Completion will be verified and your certificate will reflect that date.
- Are LifeAlign courses fully accessible to
individuals with disabilities?
- We will make every effort to assist individuals with disabilities to access online courses through LifeAlign. Individuals unable to complete online testing may complete the quiz and evaluation through other methods. Our courses are based on tapes, CDs, and books as well as online text materials. Contact LifeAlign at 800-949-8108 or through the email contact form on the Help page for more information or to make a specific request. We will try to create personalized access as much as possible.
Who can benefit from LifeAlign courses and what is the level of instructional activity?
LifeAlign continuing education courses are designed for mental health practitioners and nurses. The level of instructional activity ranges from intermediate to advanced. Participants of many clinical orientations with different levels of experience find that our courses are engaging, thought-provoking and challenging. If you have any questions about the level of a course, please feel free to contact us.
Registration Questions and Answers
- I have a promotional code. How do I use it?
- LifeAlign offers occasional promotional discounts on our courses for LifeAlign registered users. These codes are also used by agencies and employers who have purchased multiple course access for their employees. Promotional codes are entered in the shopping cart at Checkout. When the shopping cart total is calculated, the discount is reflected in the subtotal.
- How long after I sign up can I begin my course?
- After your payment is processed by Paypal, you will be able to access your course. Creating an account and making payment through Paypal should only take a few minutes.
- How long do I have to complete a course?
- You have 90 days from your date of enrollment to complete a course. Most students like to complete their courses at a faster pace, but you are welcome to take your time! If you require additional time, just contact us and we will be happy to accommodate your request.
- Does creating an account mean I will
get spam or other advertising material?
- LifeAlign never shares or sells information from any of our customers to third parties or related businesses for the purpose of marketing, soliciting, advertising or spamming. LifeAlign will send you occasional e-mail newsletters with LifeAlign course offerings and site updates. You, of course, have the choice to opt out of these e-mail communications, either when creating or updating your account information. We hope you’ll look forward to hearing from us!!
- What is your refund policy?
- We are committed to your success with the courses you purchase. We discourage refund requests for our online courses. However, if you have circumstances that inspire you to request a refund, please contact Customer Service through the LifeAlign Help page, so that we can try to help resolve the issue.
Any request for course refund must be received 1) within fifteen (15) days of the course purchase and 2) before any assignment, evaluation or quiz is completed. Your request must be in writing, and can be sent either by mail or through using the LifeAlign Help page form to the CE Director. If a refund is determined to be appropriate, the course fee will be refunded in full, minus a $15 processing fee. Refunds are not available if a request is made later than fifteen (15) days from purchase or once a participant has completed an assignment, quiz or evaluation.
Books, tapes and other products are refundable within 30 days of purchase or if defective. They must be returned in resaleable condition, and the participant pays return shipping. Contact LifeAlign directly for detailed instructions about product returns.

Technical Questions and Answers
- Are there any minimum requirements for my computer or browser?
- You will need a computer, either PC or MacIntosh, with access to the internet. That access can be either through dial-up modem or broadband, such as DSL, satellite, or cable. If you are using Internet Explorer, you will need version 5.5 or later. We recommend the open source Firefox browser, as an alternative to IE, which is available for download at the Firefox site, but this is not a requirement. You must have cookies enabled in your browser. You will need the free Adobe Reader software, if you plan to print out the course materials. An print-friendly version of course materials is included in many courses. If you do not already have Adobe Reader, you can download it here.
- What if I have difficulty accessing the course or completing the course on my computer?
- After you purchase the course, you are automatically enrolled. When you log in to LifeAlign.com you are taken to your Personal Home Page. There is a link to your course from your Personal Home Page. You can reach us through e-mail or by telephone for assistance with your course if you have any difficulties. The courses are designed so that you can easily follow the pathway to completion.
- I know very little about computers. Is it going to be difficult for me to understand what I need to do to get credit?
- If you are able to access the internet with your computer, complete the payment process, and have some familiarity with viewing websites over the internet, you should have no difficulty completing the course online. If you are reading this answer on your computer, you will have no difficulty with your course!
- Can I print out the course materials?
- Most of the course materials can be printed out for reading offline. There are many links embedded in the materials connecting to other relevant materials, so we recommend completing the course online, even if you print out the materials for reading or reference.
- What if I forget my user name or password?
- Go to the Login Page. Choose Reset Password from the navigation. After you enter your e-mail address, you will receive an e-mail. Click the link in the e-mail to go to a page confirming that you requested a password change. A second e-mail will be sent to you with your user name and a new password. Return to your web browser and click Continue. Fill in the form with your user name and the password that was sent to you, and then you can choose a new password which you will enter twice.
Note: If you previously saved your user name and password in your browser, the first two boxes of the form will be filled in already. You will need to replace the asterisks in the second box with the password that was just sent to you, before you choose a new password. From here, you will be logged in and taken directly to your Personal Home Page.
