LifeAlign.com is designed for ease and simplicity in completing your continuing education units online. This is how it works.

Course Purchase Process

Select a course from the Course Catalog. Click the More Info button or the Course Title to access detailed information about the course and related materials available for purchase. Use the Add to Cart button to add the course to your shopping cart. You can easily edit your Shopping Cart before final purchase.

When you purchase related materials such as books, tapes or CDs from LifeAlign, you can also add these to the Shopping Cart and they will be processed as part of the same order. These products will be shipped to you the next business day via Priority Mail or Second Day Air. You will have online access to your course immediately after purchase.

Registering & Checking Out

When you have completed shopping, you are ready to Check Out. If you already have an account at LifeAlign, you will be able to log in at this time. If you are a first time customer, you will register for a LifeAlign account. After you fill in the information to create your account, you will be taken to the PayPal encrypted website to complete your purchase.

Paypal

We use Paypal as our primary payment processor, because it is exceptionally safe, reliable, secure, and accepts payment from either your bank account or credit card. Your transactions are protected by PayPal's sophisticated fraud protection system. If you are using a credit card, and don't yet have a Paypal account, you are not required to open one. If you wish to use your checking account for payment, you must use a PayPal account. It's fast and easy to set one up during your purchase.

Using a Credit Card by Telephone

If you prefer, you can call us with your credit card information. Your payment will be processed securely using encryption technology, and you will be enrolled in the course by LifeAlign customer service.

Beginning Your Course

After the payment process has been completed through PayPal, you will be returned to a receipt page, which links to your Personal Home Page. Anytime you log in to LifeAlign.com, you will be taken to your Personal Home Page. From your Personal Home Page, there will be a link to the course or courses in which you are enrolled. There is also a link to modify your user profile as needed. Sometimes people need to add additional information about their license number or date of renewal after they have already registered.

Course Content & Structure

In web-based courses, you will have access to all of the course material and the online quiz. A course evaluation is part of each online course, and must be completed prior to receiving your continuing education credit. In courses based on books, audiotapes or CDs, you will have access to any additional online course materials, the online quiz, and course evaluation. In many courses, there are short assignments: some are optional and some are part of the requirements for course completion.

When you enter a course, the path for course completion will be clearly marked. There is wonderful flexibility in the way each course is designed. However, there is a very clear structure in every course so you won't lose the path!

Bookmarking Your Place

You do not need to complete the course in one sitting. Anytime you leave the course, you can use the clearly marked Bookmarks assignment to make notes to bookmark your place in the course. Then when you return to LifeAlign, you log in to your Account page, click the link to your course, open Bookmarks and read your notes about where you left off. You also have the option of bookmarking the page by using Favorites or Bookmarks in your internet browser. You will be asked to log in to LifeAlign when you return to the bookmarked page.

Finishing the Course

When you finish the course material, and successfully complete the online quiz and course evaluation, and any short required assignments, you will have fulfilled the requirements for course completion. You will be able to view your quiz grade immediately, so you will know when you have passed the course (75% is passing). You have three attempts to pass the quiz.

Receiving Your Certificate of Completion

After you have completed the quiz and evaluation, you will return to your Personal Home Page, and fill out a short form to alert LifeAlign administration that you have successfully completed the course. After verification, your certificate will be mailed to you the next business day, showing the date you successfully finished the course.
