Jack Kornfield
Jack Kornfield is a founding teacher of Spirit Rock Meditation Center and the Insight Meditation Society and has taught meditation internationally since 1974. Jack trained as a Buddhist monk in the monasteries of Thailand, India, and Burma. He also holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, and is a husband and father. Through daylong workshops and longer retreats, he has been at the forefront of introducing many Western students to Buddhist teachings. He is a master storyteller, weaving traditional teaching stories, poetry and stories of human suffering and delight, illuminating the path of the Western Buddhist tradition in this country. His books include A Path with Heart, Buddha’s Little Instruction Book, Teachings of the Buddha, Seeking the Heart of Wisdom, Living Dharma, A Still Forest Pool, and Stories of the Spirit, Stories of the Heart, After the Ecstasy, the Laundry, and The Art of Forgivenes, Lovingkindness and Peace. |
